As a commuter like me, traveling to work from Punggol is a long and agonizing trip which starts from the moment i boarded the NEL even early in the morning. You might not get a seat even our station is at the last stop; because our neighbors from SengKang are willingly to board the train from their area and bounce from Punggol in order to secure a comfy seats. And also, for those who drives to work, you are not spared too, right?
I’ll like to to introduce you to the Premium Bus No. 729, the journey starts from Punggol, SengKang, Buangkok, Serangoon, CTE via Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 to Jalan Bukit Merah, Alexandra Rd, Pasir Panjang Centre. (vice versa during evening time). I’ve attached the bus schedule for you, simply click this link.

The fare is $3.50 per trip, you can either pay by cash or NET Flashcard.

I will usually walk to the bus stop near Meridian MRT along the Punggol Field from Punggol Spectra, it takes approximate 5 – 10 mins by foot. See below for the pick up point. Though the bus would detours the neighborhood, but i know i will secure a comfortable seat (2nd stop), get some rest along the way.

From my experience, it takes approximate 1 hour to travel from the pickup point to my working place at Jalan Bukit Merah. I was first skeptical with the premium price i have to pay, but it has become an essential service to me.
